This is not going to end well...

I should clarify what I am reading between the lines of "this isn't going to end well".

It means that ford is not seeing an end to the chip shortage. If'n ford is thinking this, there is a reasonable assumption that some entity told ford.
 
It makes sense, think about how far behind the logistics will be once they all are ready to go? From what I hear, it's a problem now much less with so much held back inventory. This helps the storage yards and everything keep moving, but does put it off on the dealer. However, most dealer lots are empty right now. My local GM guy had less than 15 new trucks a few weeks ago.
