After watching the video on the LZO failure at 7500 miles which turned out to be a totally missing thrust bearing, I'm beginning to wonder what the heck is going on at the factory? With wildfire season starting early this year and now a few warehouses going up in smoke, makes me think some...

    Oil Analysis by SPEEDiagnostix

I know there is a video in which Lake Speed Jr mentions oil and the oil pump drive belt but can't seem to locate it at the moment. He said only oil that meets dexosD specifications should be used. I would think that if the belt starts to degrade, it would show up somehow in an oil analysis but...

    Oil Analysis by SPEEDiagnostix

Received my first oil analysis after 40,781 miles. Been meaning to do this sooner but better late than never. First oil change was around 2,000 miles and then every 5-6K miles afterwards. So far, don't' see anything to be concerned about. At the next oil change around 45-46k miles, will switch...

    Checking in!!

Will turn 40K miles this week. No issues at all so far. But I have 2024 with the LZO.

    Who uses a fuel additive?

I've been using Archoil for the last 38,000 miles and I think it works great and with low number of regens. I had some Opti-Lube XPD sitting in the garage and when I ran out of Archoil, used that. I noticed an immediate increase in regens; from 500 to less than 300 miles. Just switched back...

Agreed. Not a fan of chrome myself. That's why I got the Elevation trim.

    NOX sensor @ 56k miles

Won't the code still be logged? Plus, the dealer confirmed the code so while they may not replace it right now, at least they'll have a record of it.

    Duramax running temp.

Those temps are too low. The OPs temps are normal for the LZO.

    New Regen Record

I think part of the answer is my driving habits have changed since I bought it. When purchased, I was working at home (for over 7 years) and wasn't putting that many miles on it with a lot of in-town driving. Fast forward to back in the office mandate, I now drive a 90-mile daily RT commute.

    New Regen Record

My regen intervals have been steadily decreasing over time. When newer, I saw a regen in as little as 189 miles. Now they're regularly over 400 miles and recently set a personal best of 500 miles. Granted, it was during a road trip to Spokane over the holidays. It just performed another regen at...
