    dkboyd, I just traded mine in for a gasser last year (see above, pure anguish). Should have gone the law suit route. Don't hesitate to get in touch if I can help with my 3.0 experience.

    Mooseman, my experience occurred on my second 3.0. I drove the first one 50,000 miles and because the trade in values were so good, I just traded a 2020 for a new 2021...everything went south on the 2021. Lemon yes, but when it happened to a friend also, and I read through all these posts, it...

    It's not the Blue DEF in the Southwest. Mine was in three dealerships between NY and Indiana with the exact same issue. At the third visit, after the truck sat in the dealership for 6 weeks, I traded it for a gasser. Do the math, especially with diesel prices going back up, the economics of...

    I was under the impression that the alarm (speed limitiing) and DEF level are unrelated. There is a separate alarm for DEF level, independent of the speed limiting alarm.

    BTW, big shout out to McCluskey Chevrolet in Cincinati. They really did everything possible to help me with getting through the issues with this truck. They find trucks...they dig for them and can deliver, they genuinely don't take NO for an answer. Fortunately I do a lot of driving between...

    GM just announced it is replacing the 3.0 with a new version. I am running away from mine immediately. After 5 weeks in the dealership (truck has 28,000 mile on it), and being told it could be another two months...I have to get rid of this truck. Even if it ran perfectly right now, I don't...

    Three weeks in the shop and waiting...

    As my 3.0 spends its' 5th week at the dealership, today GM told me they have no desire to help. After about 20 calls over the past 5 weeks, I finally got something definitive out of them, even though it was not what I wanted, or expected, to hear. They refuse to offer any assistance toward...

    2020 GMC AT4 3.0L/Massive Oil Leak

    Granuts55, I have a 2021 Silverado with the 3.0 Duramax. It's been in the shop for the past 30 days, and estimated lead time on the parts is 60 days from now. DEF issues. It has been in the shop twice before with the same problem. Truck has 18,000 miles on it. I also have a case with GM...

    I read where GM stopped selling the 3.0 Duramax due to supplier issues? And they are buying back 2500 Series trucks? I'm just a little fish in a big ocean but damn it seems to be getting rough out there !

    Update: Truck has been in the shop one month now, and dealer says it needs a new DEF tank. Lead time...60 days. I've about had it with the 3.0 diesel, bad news all the way around. If they hold true, whoever heard of a brand new truck being in the shop for 3 months! I've had a case going...

    I am having the same alarms, now with 28,000 miles on the truck. Been in the shop for three weeks now, waiting on a new DEF tank. My dealer, McCluskey, has been good about a loaner.

    Three weeks in the shop and waiting...

    I have a 2021 3.0. My second successive Silverado. First was a 2020 and I loved that truck, drove 65,000 miles and traded in on a 2021, which has essentially not worked from the beginning, DEF speed limiting alarms. First dealer visit said it was a DEF system hose, took a month to get it...

    3.0 = 30+ days in shop

    Mine has been in the dealership for the past three weeks. DEF issues. First time, a hose replaced in Indiana, second time was an injector nozzle in NY, now really stuck in Cinci waiting for a new DEF tank to arrive. I am pretty certain I am going back to gas engines.
