    I think you'll find any new modern vehicle has issues. I will say overall the 3.0L platform is pretty good. I know most report no issues over time. The ones that do have issues are usually from emissions.. But emissions are all diesels these days so you can't get away from that.

As always, I would recommend driving both, and maybe see if they will pull the service history for both to give you somewhat of a preview of how the truck was maintained (if they are local trades), plus previous warranty concerns as well could be exposed.
