Agreed, and it will only get harder. Like you said, it likely becomes a huge liability for "tuners" to even touch these.. Imagine a Super Cruise enabled truck runs over someone, and GM finds out it's been "Tuned", you bet they pass the buck on to the 3rd party.

Those are tough to find. I would keep pressuring the dealer to find the problem. I have a bad squeak myself in the rear end somewhere I'm trying to pin point.

I've heard a Duramax LML (15 year model) run on straight gas for 1 mile, and man, that is not a sound you want to hear. It sounded like it was running on rocks.

As always, the dealer has to provide the failure was related to the modification. Generally, it's a fight and something I would try to avoid in general unless the aftermarket product is just THAT much better. My $.02

That's a run of bad luck for sure. Let us know what the dealer says... oil consumption has been an issues for some users reported here.

I have 25K on my truck so I went to change my air filter (I know it's a bit early) but it was surprising not bad at all.. I ended up just vacuuming out the air box and sticking it back in there for now. Anyone else changed theirs yet, if so, how'd it look? - I forgot to take a pic, sorry!

The dealerships love ripping us off sadly. I buy all of my oil/filters/etc from Rock Auto myself.

You can see my average in my fuelly signature.. MPG depends on a lot.. if I stay in the "city" areas during the week I'll get down to 23 or so.. in the winter, warming up and letting it run will get me down to 20 or so.

Yep, the era of ecm tuning is almost over. Not only from a security standpoint, but from legal as well. I truly think something open source is the future, but there is to much money in tuning (and people pay it) to go that route. If it's open source, then it's on the person to go out there and...

I've seen more trans stories over anything lately with these trucks. Even mine has a weird downshift/shutter when accelerating at higher speed (50+ MPH). I know this doesn't help you. but I would push for them to replace anything they need to.. hopefully they have been good to work with, some...
