What are your Diesel fuel prices?

Maybe it's because they need larger facilities to accommodate them. Property taxes are a bitch.

What are your Diesel fuel prices?

I noticed that it was more expensive at truck stops. I would have thought they gave a better prices because they sell in larger quantities and have accounts with them.

BREAKING: New LZ0 Duramax Engine for 2023 GM Trucks

Is the MQC the "new" tranny? Seems to be an electronic switch shifter instead of the MQB column shifter. Both seem to be the same 10L90 basic tranny with different controllers.

What are your Diesel fuel prices?

I also use Fuelly. Handy app for tracking MPG and fuel. Finally found how to add the banner to my sig. My average MPG is lower probably because of the cold weather, running it to warm it up, and occasional towing. Hopefully it improves during the summer. The price is in CAD$ so it went...

What are your Diesel fuel prices?

We are getting totally reamed lately. Saw some prices between here and Long Island last week, which were between 4.99 and 5.49/gal. Yesterday I got totally floored when prices jumped here from CAD 1.99/L to 2.27/L ($5.89USD/gal to $6.72USD/gal). Regular gas has been rather steady around CAD...

    Scangauge II

Tried out my ScanGauge II in the Sierra and it basically works reporting the normal readings. Checking on their website, it does work with the the 2.8L LWN Duramax and the 6.6 L5P Duramax so I figure it would probably work with my 3.0L LM2. But I would need the latest firmware for it to work...

BREAKING: New LZ0 Duramax Engine for 2023 GM Trucks

Can you say "plummeting sales"? GM doesn't have a stellar record on DOD/AFM and they want to try it out on diesel? No thanks. Exception to that would be if they find another method than the gawd-awful deactivating lifters but then they'll screw that up too. They've got something good going...

    Ford Testing the Duramax 3.0L

Interesting however it's still puzzling why Ford killed their 1/2 ton diesel but this article explains it well: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a37001047/ford-f-150-power-stroke-diesel-discontinued/ Made sense for them but GM doesn't have a V6 turbo gas hybrid. They're obviously committed...

    Engine & transmission temps - LM2

Haven't looked at the oil temps but I've noticed the tranny temps are in the 85-95c range even in cooler weather. From what I understand, these trannys are equipped with a thermal valve for the cooler lines so that it won't send the fluid to the cooler until it reaches a certain temp. I know...

    Tires and MPG

I went with Cooper Discoverer AT3 and didn't notice a big change in MPG however I didn't have the original Generals long enough to really compare. I love that I don't have to have a winter set of tires with these. The only negative I've heard about these is they wear fairly fast. I've put...

BREAKING: New LZ0 Duramax Engine for 2023 GM Trucks

Could just be a delayed release, just like the SUVs didn't get the LM2 until a year later than the pickups. No DEF, now that would be a dream!

DEF might be in short supply again

We've heard this before but, AFAIK, hasn't happened. Hopefully it's another chicken little situation.

BREAKING: New LZ0 Duramax Engine for 2023 GM Trucks

Sure hope so. That's always been a sore spot and they know it. If that's all they change, they could have kept the same designation.

Three weeks in the shop and waiting...

Yep. Supply issues everywhere, not just the auto industry. On the gasser side, GM is having supply issues for replacement DOD valve lifters. On the other GM truck forum I'm on, someone was fixing his failed DOD and had to use an aftermarket lifter. It shouldn't be a problem as he will...

Three weeks in the shop and waiting...

Well I just drove from Ottawa to Long Island on just half a tank of fuel. Haven't had a single issue except for the CNS which was quickly fixed. Ignoring an engine light on these is just asking for trouble. Since you don't own one of these anymore, why are you here?

Until DOD/AFM fails. Will you be joining the lawsuit?
