    SPORT MODE

I've actually been driving more at the speed limit and saw my mileage go up. This was especially true when I was towing my sled trailer. Not very heavy but it's like a giant sail so speed was definitely a factor.

Ford paying you not to have auto-start-stop

That's why I got the stop/start eliminator. Should be the first mod on everybody's list.

And CAI's have been debunked as BS and maybe even hurts performance, most of the time being a HAI.

    An unexpected 3.0L Duramax owner

Welcome from a fellow Canuck! Mine was also a cancellation, brought on by a divorce, but was lucky enough to still get the heated seats and wheel.

Ford paying you not to have auto-start-stop

GM was doing this for some of their gassers but not the LM2 unfortunately. And they are going beyond the stop/start delete and deleting heated seats and steering wheel from all but the highest trim levels. Glad I got mine before that happened.

    DEF, Platinum DEF?

Have yet to see any of those here neither. Probably only available at large truck Cardlocks. If I do find one, I'd be refilling my 9L jugs. I can usually get it at Canadian Tire for $21CAD on sale. Princess Auto had a smoking deal at $12CAD but was sold out within one day. BTW, that hose...

    SPORT MODE

Well I do have the auto-stop eliminator 😉 However, I can see where even that could help a bit with mileage in heavy stop and go traffic. I know my mileage has been a little lower during the winter by remote starting it to warm up.

    DEF, Platinum DEF?

That's my thought too. Apparently there is a shortage as the urea comes mostly from China. Same problem as chips.

    SPORT MODE

If that's the case, why wouldn't GM use this as a default or normal mode? If it helps MPG, this would help their CAFE targets. Haven't noticed any real changes in shifting or being so much different that it would raise concerns.

Extended crank but no start issue

$1.86CAD/L here today, expected to go to $1.96 by tomorrow. That's $5.10USD/gal, tomorrow $5.78. Yep, glad I'm getting 23MPG! I think this is the first time that US prices are near Canadian! Usually you guys are much lower to the point that we fill up down there whenever we can.

Where to get engine oil in Saskatchewan

Prices are a little more reasonable EXCEPT that the shipping is $37.69USD and they ship via UPS, which will also add ton of extra duty and fees, even if the value is below the threshold for charging taxes. total for their kit is $106.58USD ($135.13CAD) not including UPS' bullshit fees...

Where to get engine oil in Saskatchewan

According to xe.com, it's $16.18USD. A liter is larger than a quart but they are selling it here in quarts, which is 0.946L.

Banks Derringer Tuner - Release Summer '22

Certainly looks interesting but cost may be a big factor for me. I like that it can be removed so it's undetectable in case of warranty issues.

Extended crank but no start issue

If still getting into problems with the dealer, just print and bring a copy of the bulletin in this thread. Or very simply check the software version in the ECU and update it. Some techs are techno zombies where all they do is scan for codes.

    How’s everyone’s engine doing ??

I just did a trip with my aluminum clamshell trailer (550# empty) and one sled (a 2010 Yamaton Venture GT, ~700#). I averaged about 17 MPG but my roads were very hilly with a headwind. Going 80-90 km/h. At 100 km/h, my MPG would dive. It's not heavy but it's like a giant sail. Very happy...

Where to get engine oil in Saskatchewan

It's gonna be expensive wherever you go. I found it at a local parts store (Benson's) for $16/qt (they're just 0.946 Liters!). Forget Amazon.ca, not available there. They have a kit listed but has always been unavailable...

    Just another oil leak post

Man that totally blows. I keep knocking on wood for mine. You would think that after all these reported and repaired leaks that they would have figured it out by now. I mean like, if it's a defective part, inadequate part of something else that's causing it, like pressure behind the seal, get...
