I also don't let them cool most people do not drive passenger car turbos like big rig or performance turbos with time out built-in. I have seen many passenger vehicles diesel with well over 200,000 miles and they also don't let turbos cool down, but that's not to say that's not the perfect way...

2021 RST 4x4 crew, 3.0L - Ok went with the Motofab 2" lift, ( 1.5spacer ) top strut spacer, front now approx 1 higher than the rear, wish I went with 1.5" lift. Might add a 1" lift to the rear? then will be true level. we will see. I will drive for a couple of weeks to see where it settles?

All GM engines since the 4.2 have been built on the platform of 150,000 miles min, that has not been the case though. I agree the 4.2 good engine as long as you kept the oil changed, as with most, the 4.2 downfall was the MPG, and the reason it was dropped from the lineup

I think Amsoil meets all GM specs for Dexos D, But they won't pay GM licensing fee. But it does meet all the required specs.
