Not feeling good about the PF66 filter

Well the Amsoil bypass is not going to work. I can not get the hoses to work going into the block adapter. The trans lines and air conditioning lines are to tight around the filter mount. At this point I’m not willing to reroute anything to make it work.

Not feeling good about the PF66 filter

Great video. I had ordered a two wheel drive which would have made it easier but they wouldn’t build it for me. Said if I want it it will be a four wheel drive. No explanation given.

Any unsuspected issues to install? Does the oil pan fit under the skid plate without issue?

Has anyone here switched the oil pan for the PPE pan? Engine or Transmission?

Not feeling good about the PF66 filter

Ordered the bypass mount and hoses today. Should be here by the weekend. Hopefully I’ll have it mounted sometime next week.

At 2 micron the bypass filter should clean it. I’ve only used it on gas engines in the past so I’ll be the test mule.

Definitely will do. I personally can’t live with the soot in the oil. At 800 miles my oil was solid black.

Or yes but it mounts on the bypass mount.

Not feeling good about the PF66 filter

No. That will be the full flow filter on the bypass mount.

Not feeling good about the PF66 filter

So I went ahead and changed the oil today. I verified that the block mounted adapter fits without issue. Finding a good spot to mount the bypass unit and filters is another story. I’m thinking about mounting it to the outside of the driver’s side frame rail. Looks like there is good clearance...

Here’s a picture of the full flow and the bypass filter next to the wix filter for our 3.0L. The bypass filter will take the soot out of your oil. I’m waiting to do my first oil change to verify the filter adapter fits without issue before I report the remaining part numbers. I’m only at 995...

    Adam’s ceramic coat

Will do. Drove it in the rain yesterday and it still looks good.

It will be an Amsoil system. They don’t make a specific system for the 3.0 but they have a universal system. I figured out the parts I need and once I get it installed I’ll post the part numbers if anyone is interested.

    Adam’s ceramic coat

Ceramic coated today. Took all day but it looks good. Pic doesn’t do it justice. First time doing the coating. We’ll see how it holds up.

    Fuel cap mod

The cap sits nicely in the void behind the hinge. Can’t close the door unless you put it back on!

    Fuel additives

I use Amsoil. Mostly because I’ve been using their oil for a long time and trust their products.
