I get that, but I think about it this way - if you're building many thousands of engines and you want to change the compression ratio from 15.0 to 15.2 it can easily be done with a piston change, or possibly even just some different cylinder head machining parameters. You don't change rod...

Personally, I am a huge fan of hydrophobic coatings - why they are not more popular is beyond me... Living on the We(s)t Coast I find it works great as I don't have to use wipers on the highway, visibility is excellent (the entire window is clear, not just the area that the wipers contact)...

Did you shift the transmission into Park before shutting the engine off? Or did the transmission not allow you to shift it into Park until you unplugged the trailer connection? How did you exit the vehicle to unplug the trailer connection if you couldn't get the transmission into Park...

I'd recommend it for older (higher mileage), oil-driven fuel systems like the 7.3L and 6.0L Fords, International and CAT engines with a HEUI fuel system. IMO - not needed in in a Duramax engine.
