The LZ0 has many upgrades and concerned my 2021 LM2 will have problems in the areas they addressed and improved upon with the LZ0.

LZ0 Duramax specs announced today, 305 horsepower and 495 pounds of torque!

We will have to wait to see if GM changes or updates the part number for the oil pump wet drive belt for the LZ0 and if not it should apply to all LM2 engines. Apparently the extending mileage and time frame are for the 2023 LM2 engines at this time.

The 2023 LZ)0 duramax is now officially extending their oil pump belt to 200,000 or 15 years and the cooling system is changing.

With the 5-year 100,000 powertrain warranty with the LM2 diesel, I'd say it's a smart move to let the dealer do it while under warranty.
