newby looking for real info on Upper Control Arms

I did the same thing. 5100's set 1 down from the top. From the stuff I've read that seems like the max recommended. Too early yet to say if I'll have any problems.

Help me pick my tires! Lifted 1500 z71 - don't know jack about rubber!

Mine are pretty worn so was thinking of going with the 275 65 20 to get a little taller. From what I've read they should fit. Mine just has the Bilstein 5100s to level it, non AT4. Was going to try the Perelli Scorpion AT plus. Looking for winter traction without going to a true winter tire

Extended crank but no start issue

I had the issue where it wouldn't start on the 2nd try and had to disconnect/reconnect the battery to get it going. Brought it in a few times and it took the dealer connecting with GM and they had them reprogram the FOBs in a specific way or something as it was something with the FOBs not...

Bilstein 5100 Shocks Installed on LM2 / RST Silverado

I would totally agree. The looks are 100% better and I prefer the ride better. Maybe not the best comparison but like comparing a Buick to a Pontiac. If you like the softness of a Buick, keep the Ranchos. If you prefer the sportier ride of a Pontiac, go get the Bilsteins. Neither are terribly...

Bilstein 5100 Shocks Installed on LM2 / RST Silverado

I like the Roadmaster. I didn't want to deal with bags airing them up and down and didn't want to try to mount a compressor somewhere. These gave me enough for what I was looking for and had the added benefit of stiffening up the rear a little unloaded to help out the Ranchos. Still may swap...

Bilstein 5100 Shocks Installed on LM2 / RST Silverado

Lookin good. I am actually having those put on tomorrow morning. Asked for the same position #5. I'm not doing a block but I have the Roadmaster active suspension in the back and that lifted it a little so it should have a slight rake still when finished. I was going to try to stay with the...

    Dead battery

I have a 20 but I thought I had an issue with the battery that turned out it wasn't the battery. I went to start after work and it did nothing like it didn't have enough power to start. Battery ended up being replaced but it ended up doing it again after a long drive so that time I knew it...

    Scangauge II

Called banks and they said it's a known thing and in their support materials. Haven't verified that but their only suggestion was to unplug it when it's going to run the tests. Problem is I never know when onstar is going to do that. The emails haven't been on the same day every month. I guess...

    Scangauge II

Well it happened again on the next onstart diagnostic email. I'll try to call Banks and see what their thoughts are. Not a real big deal but a little wierd why it's happening to me but others have things plugged in and don't have the trouble.

    Scangauge II

I'll have to watch for the next onstar email and see if it happens again. Hopefully it was a fluke.

    Scangauge II

Well I splurged and bought the idash. Funny thing that just happened with it, I got my last onstar diagnostic report and it couldn't give me any of the diagnostic information. It says "we are unable to successfully complete a diagnostic test. The issue may be caused by an aftermarket device...

    Rear Sag Towing

I ended up putting the Roadmaster active suspension on my elevation X31 and like it. It did raise the rear a bit so put more rake in it but only stiffened it up empty so it rides well and not like a 70's cadillac. Now just need to put the billstiens in the front to get it a little more level...

What are your Diesel fuel prices?

It's all part of the plan to push the so called "clean" electric. Good luck being able to travel over 100 miles from your house. Just another way to lock people down.

Best All-Around Tonneau cover 2021 Chevy Silverado

I have the dealer version of the BAK revolver X2 which is an aluminum roll up cover. So far I like it but it does have some trade offs. Pros Security of a locking aluminum cover but still rolls up vs folding Sits very flush, does not stick up at all Looks great Cons Stiff to roll up in winter It...

    Video: GM shutting down production

I agree Marvin however in a free market they would all have to be collaborating together to agree to keep vehicles off the market. Once one of them starts pumping out more then the others it all falls apart if it's a hoax. Not that it's impossible for them to be in together, they work together...

Roadmaster active suspension vs air bags

Ordered the Roadmaster kit yesterday. During research, I could not really find any people saying anything negative about it although maybe I just didn't find them. Air bags seem like most say they help hold the weight up but don't really help with sway that the roadmaster is supposed to do and...

Roadmaster active suspension vs air bags

Anyone have either of these that would like to share their opinion? I'm leaning toward the RAS mainly as I'm not sure I'd be satisfied with the air bags without a compressor and once you add that the cost and install complexity gets kinda high. RAS looks very simple. The reason for adding these...

    Engine shut down timer

Am I wrong as I thought I heard idling is bad for these now with all this emmisions crap on them? Thought I heard it starts to plug things up but could have misheard something. If it is true then that's probably why they put in the shut off.
