Rattling to pieces

Can anyone tell me a quick solution besides tape to stop one of my heat shields from vibrating and rattling

Seems to be plenty of complaints about heat shield rattle out there but little in the way to resolve the issue (aside of actual removal). Personally, I would not remove it since it's there to protect other components. A quick search found some information. It depends on the actual cause. If it is the actual heat shield itself, inspect the bolts, clamps, or clips holding the heat shields on the exhaust system and tighten the fasteners. If they are rusted, they may need to be replaced. A common DIY fix is to use large hose clamps to re-secure a loose heat shield.
