New guy 2021 Sierra Elevation

Just a quick intro. Picked my baby up on Sept. 29th with a bit of a back story. After towing our 6500# RV trailer 3000 km and using over 900L of gas with the '08 Avalanche 6.0L, decided I needed a diesel. The 3.0 peaked my interest after some research. Did an online inventory search in July and this one came up as available. Dealer salesman explains to me that it's a custom ordered truck that is built but sitting in a yard somewhere waiting for a chip. The guy that ordered it four months prior was getting divorced and had to back out. It was exactly what I needed except for the console vault (who needs that? Drug dealers?). Put a deposit on it and waited. Finally arrived mid Sept.

I'm also a mod on another GM truck forum that caters principally to the GMT360/370 platform (TrailBlazer,Envoy, etc). I currently own an '07 TB LS I6 4.2L so this 3.0L I6 Dmax is a kind of an homage to it.

Couple if pics for your curiosity. Only mods so far are side steps and the tonneau cover.

Welcome. Thanks for the pictures. Sounds like you got lucky.

Here, in the States, atleast some of the free States, we have concealed weapons permits. In my State, firearm has to be in a locking box, locking trunk, etc, when you leave it in a vehicle. Locked vehicle is not acceptable. So it's not the bad guys that need a locking vault!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm loving it so far. I'm not used to having a new vehicle and have to keep my mod bug at bay. Already thinking of swapping out the regular bulbs to LEDs
