Sounds like a lot of speculation and guessing. With that said, if what they are saying is true and the deactivation does get implemented I’m glad I have the LM2 (at least I think)... Jury is still out for long term durability/reliability of these engines.

Anyone running a data monitor? Curious as to what others are seeing as far as temps during normal driving (not towing)? My Banks gauge is reading 230-235*F for engine oil temp and 180-185*F for transmission oil temp.

They said it was due to component availability that they stopped building 3.0’s in the fall of 2021 but I think that there was some supplier quality issues (though they would never admit it...).

What ever happened here?

The DEF tanks are heated, so my guess is that the heating element is shot...? Not unheard of. My brother in laws 2020 2500 HD had to have its tank replaced, likely for this same reason.

I waited 8 months for my vehicle to arrive. Anyone ordering now is likely going to be in the same spot.
