    New Gen (2027 Silverado Spied)

https://gmauthority.com/blog/2025/03/next-gen-2027-chevy-silverado-prototype-spied-testing-photos/ Interesting to see how the new generation changes. I know a previous articles says a new generation of engines will be in place. It's still rumored to have our 3.0L Duramax as an option.

P2C7A DTC Code at 55K miles

Hello all, Driving home from work today my check engine light come on. Looks like it's the P2C7A code my ODB scanner is reporting. I've seen a few different responses as far as the fix. I'm going to clear it and see if it actually comes back.. if it does, I guess a trip to the dealer is in my...

    Transmission Service Completed

I have a different thread where I had my truck in for an oil leak so while I had it there, I had them quote me for a transmission service. It was $680 after tax.. after some digging I know I got ripped off, but lesson learned. I will say I feel like it was smoother and overall felt a ton better...

2025 Escalade - Duramax option is no more

Source: https://gmauthority.com/blog/2024/07/here-is-the-refreshed-2025-cadillac-escalade/ I'm not surprised, as most of those owners DO NOT care about fuel mileage, which is the #1 selling point of the 3.0L Duramax.

    24 Duramax Fuel System Failures

Anyone had/seen issues with the fuel systems on the 24 6.6L Duramaxs? My dad has a 24' model with 6500 miles.. it's in the shop with the entire fuel system tore down due to metal found. It's been there 3 weeks and they can't get all the parts... from what he said, this part was the one they are...

    Oil Leak

Well I noticed it yesterday on my driveway.. got under the truck and it look like it was the filter, but couldn't really tell. Took it into the dealer today and they said "oil pan gasket" likely.. from my research, it's likely the front seal as well.. I'm right at 42K miles, so I should be...

Autonomous Driving Add-On - Comma AI / Openpilot

We know GM has super cruise for the higher trim packages, but I come across a post this morning on a Facebook group about someone using this 3rd party software on their 2021. https://www.comma.ai/ I know a friend that used this on a his newer sedan but wasn't aware they were compatible for the...

    The 45K mile service

The manual states to change the transmission fluid and filter at 45K... who's done it? Approximate cost? I'm at 39K right now.. it just seems early in comparison to all of my past trucks..

    Drain plug is trash

I'll be the first to admit, I don't change the oil myself on this truck. I simply buy the oil and filter from Rock Auto and take it to my local lube shop. I give them 30 bucks and call it a day. I went a few days ago and he told me the plug was rounded off and needed a new one. That's funny...
