I have a 2016 Rockwood mini lite 1809s, approx. 5000lbs GVW. it is a aerodynamic as a brick. 2022 a trip from Calif. to Missouri and back with a 2021 3.0 averaged a hair over 13 mph. 2021 same trailer, trip to Montana from Calif in a...

Bilstein 5100 Shocks Installed on LM2 / RST Silverado

Please keep us informed on how it handles with the new shocks. I have been thinking about doing this due to way my rig handles on rough and washboard roads. I have had 3/4 tons handle better on the same roads. I have the Z71 package.

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

Engine braking noise was non existent. The signs your are talking about mean "Jake" brakes, a true engine braking system, not exhaust brakes, that restrict exhaust flow.

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

I owned a 2016 2.8 Colorado for 3 years and pulled the same trailer that I now pull with the 3.0. So I base my experience with actual use. The Colorado had a much better exhaust brake system, it worked so well that the members on the Colorado forum complained about as being to harsh. Their...

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

Took my rig to dealer to check on exhaust brake. They told me I did not have one. I find that hard to believe. Called Chevy customer support, all they could do was to tell me what owners manual said. Not Happy!

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

I have to agree. I have drove many trucks with an exhaust brake. This thing is a joke.

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

Maybe someone can enlighten me on the use of it. Last pickup was a 2016 Colorado with 2.8 Diesel, loved the exhaust brake on it, it worked. Pulling the same trailer (4500 lbs gvw) with the 2021 3.0 in the Sierra Nevadas last week and the 2021 would gain speed going down hills that the...

    Exhaust Brake

On the mini-max(2.8 Colorado) I found if you set cruse control as slow or slower than you want to go down hill, you could over run the speed set, by the throttle. When you wanted to slow down, just release the throttle and the exhaust brake would activate. Long grades with sharper turns in them.

    Exhaust Brake

How were you operating the Exhaust Brake? Tow Haul and just tap brakes? Cruse control plus tow haul?

    Exhaust Brake

Is anyone else as disappointed in the exhaust brake as I am? Coming from a 2.8 diesel Colorado, who's exhaust brake I liked. This one is disappointing. Could be operator error, but I don't believe so. I have drove may a truck With true jakes, exhaust brakes, etc. I am not sure this one is even...
