I bought a 2020 gmc with the 3.0 Duramax new 2 1/2 years ago. At 50,000 miles it was using one quart every 1,000 miles and around that time the check engine light came on. Took two dealerships two weeks to decide it was the cam chains. 90+ days later I got my truck back. Said that that wouldn’t fix the oil consumption though and they were seeing trucks with worse oil consumption.
They were right.
At 70,000 miles I was adding one quart every 500 miles. I’ve called the dealership again to complain about I bought it from this morning around 8:30 and 11 am to only speak with a recording system. I know they’ll eventually call me back but it’s frustrating to have this problem and getting nowhere.
On a better note it was getting 36 miles to the gallon last night when I was driving home.

That's not right for sure. At this point you would think GM would just put you a new motor in and solve this issue. Are they giving you a rental or anything?
