I guess we'll never see deletes for ours even though Canada doesn't actively enforce these laws YET, if there are any. In any case, unlocking our ECMs, if they are like the gasser's, would be stupid expensive. It currently costs $700USD for that exchange program at HPTuners.
 
Yep, the era of ecm tuning is almost over. Not only from a security standpoint, but from legal as well. I truly think something open source is the future, but there is to much money in tuning (and people pay it) to go that route. If it's open source, then it's on the person to go out there and tune it themselves (think shared files/etc).

This no "company" is responsible for the tuning, only yourself.

I know a guy from my home town who deleted/chipped his new 6.6 to the….. tune.. of $10,000 Canadian. 😳🤦🏻‍♂️
