Anyone running a data monitor? Curious as to what others are seeing as far as temps during normal driving (not towing)? My Banks gauge is reading 230-235*F for engine oil temp and 180-185*F for transmission oil temp.

Haven't looked at the oil temps but I've noticed the tranny temps are in the 85-95c range even in cooler weather. From what I understand, these trannys are equipped with a thermal valve for the cooler lines so that it won't send the fluid to the cooler until it reaches a certain temp. I know this was a problem on the 6L80E on later years and guys/rebuilders were removing this valve.

Haven't really towed our 6500# RV trailer yet and I will be keeping a close eye on it this summer.

That's what I'm getting.

I’ve seen oil temps up around 253 and coolant temps up to 232. I’ve never seen over 200 on trans temps.

It appears to be normal then, just thought I would ask and compare. Tx
