i have been using Stanadyne performance formula with every tank.Mostly for increased lubricity. is anyone else using an additive if so which one and why?

Opti-lube XPD and Summer. Ran a couple different brands and ended up with this one. Can’t really give a reason other than the claims of better lubrication. Ran it in my Colorado 2.8 due to the possible injector failures. No issues in 46k miles.

i have been very happy with stanadyne but i have not worked with anything else. i picked it because it is approved by everyone from john deer to VW i could not find a manufacture who did not recommend it. i have heard great things about a number of brands and most will work to help replace what the EPA is taking out of the diesel.

Back in the day we ran low ash 2cycle oil as a lubricant fuel additive…. But I think I’m going to go with stanadyne in the new truck haha.

I use Amsoil. Mostly because I’ve been using their oil for a long time and trust their products.
