Hey guys, I just purchased a Silverado 1500 High Country with the latest LZ0 engine. Vehicle handles good and I like it very much.
I just retired from GM after working on the Dmax 6.6L diesel common rail high pressure fuel systems all the way from 2008 onwards, designing high pressure pumps, injectors, rails and high pressure pipes. I sourced the common rail system from one of the renowned fuel system suppliers Denso for the 2017 and 2024 L5P.
Have good knowledge on the Denso fuel systems on LM2 and LZ0 engines (though the engines were designed in Italy).

Been fighting with GM on DEF system shutong truck down stateing DEF empty with 4.5 gal in the def tank.. been 120 days of not being able to use the truck for anything as if def Guage goes past 7/8 tank it goes into shut down mode towing or not... I fill 2 to 3 cups of def to tow 140 miles but if gauge comes off full I pull over and fill or spill def to ensure I can get to my destination

Any help to get my truck to be used ad a truck would be great. Purchased this diesel because of warranty and mileage towing as I realy don't tow over 10k ever.

It is a 2024 with LZO motor. Max Towing Package. 10 speed trans. Loved to truck first 1200 miles now regretting my decision on this truck. 495 lb ft of torque was the right fit for my needs and with 3.73 gears getting 26.8 mpg on highway mileage is amazing.. only way others get that mileage is behind towtruck
