Have been patiently waiting for the newer interior to become available before pulling the trigger.

Test-drove it the other day - really like the new interior - a big improvement over the older 'dated' interior styling.

Unfortunately this truck does not have the 'technology package' (additional camera views, ACC, etc.) but I don't think that will be a big issue.

Picking it up tomorrow morning, will post some pics once I get it back home.

Busy weekend - had to tear the garage apart to make some room for her - will do some more clean-up later.

Lots of features on this truck that I am not familiar with - cannot seem to get my Android Auto to connect properly - will have to play with the settings/permissions a bit to figure it out.

Wanting to get a coat of wax on her before the rainy season gets here - don't have much time - looks like the rain is back next weekend....

Same here with two different phones, including a new one. It's more reliable using USB. Apparently Google has been doing updates that breaks AA. My phone connects fine to the truck itself using Bluetooth but AA doesn't see it. It worked almost great when I first got the truck but has been getting progressively worse.

That's exactly the issue I am having - the truck recognizes the phone, but the AA doesn't 'fire up' like it should.

I am assuming that you are NOT using the On-Star system?

I am not a fan of the On-Star system, so I decided to cancel the service on the very first day - literally in the parking lot of the dealership before I drove off.

The salesman said he'd show me how to do it - basically, just activate the On-Star system and call the operator and tell them you'd like to cancel the service.

So - I called the operator - she was VERY friendly when she answered, but then suddenly was very disappointed that I wanted to cancel the service.

'Well, your WI-FI won't work, and your navigation won't work, and the 911 crash-alert service won't work if you decide to cancel?'

Yeah, I know - please cancel the service.

'OK.... well... it's going to take me a few minutes to do that, please stand by...'

A few minutes went by, and then suddenly the line goes dead.

I ask the salesman what happened? Did the line drop? Should we call back?

He laughs and says no - he's apparently dealt with this a few times.

Apparently the On-Star people don't come back on the line to tell you that they're done disconnecting the service - they simply hang up on you.

Nice.

Whatever... On-Star can bite me.

Same here except I just let the free trial run out. Never even used it or the free data.

They're having such a bad time that now, if you buy a new GMC or Buick, you MUST take OnStar and the cost is built into the price!

Just a matter of time before they do it to the other brands.

If I was forced to take it, I would tell the dealer to drop the price by the same amount or I'm walking out.

I should find the OnStar module and unplug it just in case they're tracking me. Hell, they were accused a long time ago of doing just that even if you didn't have an account with them. They're probably still doing it.

Yeah, I hear ya - I don't want GM tracking my every location, and then selling my data to 3rd parties to make some extra $.

Wow - sounds like they don't want to give you the option to 'opt out' anymore - it'll be baked into the price and become a 'standard' feature.

I'm sure there is some techy-guy who will figure out a work-around, or figure out how to disable the On-Star module...

It seems like it's a non-stop game of cat-and-mouse...
