Morning all…. Just took the plunge after an insane amount of research! I was torn between a few different trucks/powerplants. I’ve owned a lot of different trucks over the years and most have been diesels….. I have a thing for diesels even if they have emissions and require DEF, there’s just something about them! My last 3 trucks were a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 6.6, 2019 Ford F250 Powerstroke, and 2024 Ram 2500 Cummins.
My last truck was the Ram…. I absolutely loved it and got an insane deal on it new. But I just couldn’t justify owning a big 3/4 ton diesel when I don’t really tow anything to speak of I use the truck as a daily driver but hardly ever drove it due to fuel economy and wear and tear on a big truck. So settled on a 2026 Sierra 1500 elevation since I needed the front bench for our family. Picked it up 3 days ago out of state and drove it home…. Straight from the showroom floor to my house 400 miles away, I averaged 27.7 MPG with a decent headwind most of the way. I was SHOCKED! I will be mulling through the forum to learn the ins and outs of the truck/powerplant. Looking for Do’s and Dont’s.

Added a photo since I couldn’t in the first post.
