Red or (?? color) Caliper covers

Think I would like the look or the RED caliper covers on my RST, but do they really help with brake dust on the rims? Covers appear to only cover the front side, I find it hard to believe that it deflects the dust much? The other thing is $249 for small clips and tin, aluminum, stainless covers? seems very pricey?
Anyone have them who can shed some input?

I thought about it. Then I looked at the clearances between the rim and caliper. Decided against it as the truck lives on gravel roads.

Will paint them when it's time for brake pads. That is what I said on the '15 Yukon. 90k miles later and original pads.

I would say the covers will be of little use against brake dust on rims.

Thanks, I'm thinking High Temp Paint is best option while calipers have no rust yet.
