Transmission Service Completed

I have a different thread where I had my truck in for an oil leak so while I had it there, I had them quote me for a transmission service. It was $680 after tax.. after some digging I know I got ripped off, but lesson learned. I will say I feel like it was smoother and overall felt a ton better, but I only have about 15 miles on it since the service. I'll know more after a few days. The truck has ~53K miles on it.

Just curious, what exactly did they do for the service? Just transmission oil change, filter? Did you replace the oil pan? And which oil did they put in? Also, what is the running transmission oil temperature now after the change? Regards...Dennis

Hey Dennis,

They replaced fluid and filter and performed the service as required in the manual. It's 45K for the first service interval for my truck, at least the manual says.. I'll double check the receipt today and post it for clarity.
