I had a very unusual occurrence today with the trans. While I was trying to get up a slushy hill in 4x4, traction control off while pulling a snowmobile trailer, it refused to do anything after a spirited attempt to get up the hill with lots of wheel spin. When I tried to put in reverse, both R indicators started flashing and it was like in neutral. In drive, it didn't flash and sounded/felt like it was engaging but still didn't move. Turned off 4x4, turned TC back on and off, still the same. Then my friend, a Ferd lover, told me to shut it down and restart. Well that worked. Everything was back to normal and was able to get up that hill after unloading the trailer.

So if anyone ever gets a flashing R with a 10L90 that won't shift or do anything, reboot the truck. Might be some sort of protection mode.
 
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.. I've only had this new truck in 4x4 once but it was a flat highway with only about 2-3" of snow..
