The reason I assumed that message was not carplay is due to the appearance being akin to ota updates on the headunit (the text looks to be in a font that the head unit uses, with that same grey circled background) that I’ve seen in the past and in addition my wife has a hyundai where this...
I guess that I did not notice this till recently but I intermittently see a message appear with using apple carplay, but it does not look like a carplay specific pop up though. Anybody seen anything like this?
I never checked the difference either before I put in an autostop eliminator. I can say that when I drove from Maryland to Wisconsin (with minimal stops), I was averaging 42mpg (doing 75-80 on the interstates, that 10 speed helps!). Being "near home" driving is usually 22-24.
Just the other day, I ran low on DEF and resulted in the "XX miles until 65mph limit".
I refilled it, it took a long time to finally right itself (a couple of drives) but it finally cleared.
I originally looked at the Bak....I ended up with the RetraxOne MX (polycarbonite), not the aluminum. It is fairly durable and the retrax cannisters are a bit smaller than other competitors. I have no complaints with it. But, if you have your heart set on aluminum, that is your choice.
No, it straps over the stock mirror. Yes, you can turn it off completely and it also functions as a wider mirror. Even stranger, you can split screen the forward camera with the back camera on the display too. That one is too weird to keep up for long.
I don't drive it much lately but I will...
I will post a picture of the view when the camera exposure is not too high. Wirh human eyesight, it looks good, bright enough to be usable in the daytime, it works decent in the dark too.
I've been meaning to get this done and finally, on my birthday I get it done. Been using cigarette lighter power for a bit and decided it was time to hardwire and place the rear camera.
I used an Azdome PG17, which also includes a rear camera with cabling as well. It straps to the stock rear...
I had to reply to my own post.........
I posted on youtube on a video "known 3.0l duramax issues", he replied to my comment (much like above) and he mentioned that it seemed like alot more than oil burning. He had mentioned that GM says that 1qt per 2k miles is acceptable, unloaded, not towing...
From time to time, if you have a local BJ's box store, I have picked up the 5qt bottles at a decent price (Mobile 1 0w20).
Walmart has also had boxes of 0w20 (carboard box with bag inside) it is 12qts.
