    Aftermarket cooler and bypass

These products are certainly interesting for me since I tow a lot. https://www.demonworkshop.com/product-page/ppe-transmission-cooler-2019-2023-silverado-sierra https://ppepower.com/en-ca/products/transmission-fluid-thermal-bypass-valve-gm-3-0l-duramax-10l80?variant=42081986183411 Although I...

    Increased MPG?

Noticed that when I was in Las Vegas. But holy hell both were expensive in Cali. Lowest I found for reg. was $4.85 and it was $2 more in LA. It used to be cheaper for us to buy gas in the US but, converted to L and CAD$, 4.85USD/gal comes to $1.75CAD/L. Right now, it's $1.50CAD/L...

    Popped a couple DTC’s today 🙄

If it's sideways to begin with, you would have to edit it. When viewing it in Windows, you can right click and select rotate. Do this until it appears correct. However, I have had pics show correctly on the computer but come up sideways in the forum post. Just software weirdness. No codes...

    Increased MPG?

My average is lower because I also tow with it a fair bit (fuelly in sig). Should almost have two fuelly accounts, one for towing and one not. Overall I'm still happy with what I get. My only beef is the higher cost of diesel which negates any MPG savings

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

I got thrown off by that button since I don't have it, oddly enough. I thought the terrain mode button on my single speed transfer case was the hill descent. No matter, I looked at the 2022 manual and that button is indeed the hill descent mode button. My bad. Still says the engine braking...

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

Well, looks like they listened to the complaints for once... Video in reference: This one is apparently still the LM2. Now somebody has to figure out a retrofit for us old timers.

Diesel Tuners Hit By EPA for $10 Million

https://driving.ca/auto-news/crashes/epa-fines-michigan-diesel-truck-tuning-companies-10-million-dollars I guess we'll never see deletes for ours even though Canada doesn't actively enforce these laws YET, if there are any. In any case, unlocking our ECMs, if they are like the gasser's, would...

    2020 Transmission issues

You would imagine they would have replaced the torque converter with the tranny, but then, knowing GM, maybe not. It could very well be the torque converter but they could verify that simply by hooking up the scanner, driving it and commanding the converter to lock up. I had an issue with my...

    AWD vs 4WD Hi

AWD is basically part-time 4x4. When it senses slip in the rear wheels, it engages the front wheels in what I call the slip/bang system. The disadvantage of leaving it in AWD is that it keeps the front wheels locked to the diff so some loss in MPG and extra wear and tear. I never use it. I...

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

I hear you. I'm 6'2" 265 Lbs and 57 years old. I can still fit in my '07 TrailBlazer no problem but just wanted a full size to tow with. The leg and head room in the Sierra is awesome. Engine braking aside, it's still an awesome engine to tow with. My experience with the engine braking on...

    So short box atv hauling?

That is a good point if ever my son wants to load his quad in my truck.

    Exhaust/Engine Brake, or lack of

And what's that one like? Anybody here have any actual experience? Does it have the same towing capacity? If I had to choose between pulling power and MPG or engine braking, I'd go for for the first two. The 2.8 is a wannabe Duramax in a wannabe truck.

    Door rattle

Nothing in the door pockets? I have some noise but I suspect it's stuff in the pockets. I'll have to look into it.

Interesting comparison between the 2.8L and 3.0L

I did not know that our 3.0L was a collaboration between GM and Opel. I knew the 2.8L is a dog compared to the 3.0L. However don't agree that he says it's not a work engine. Granted it's not a 6.6L but it can hold its own.

Well, once the LZ0 comes out, if it's the same part number, it likely will.

    Excessive oil consumption?

That is jiving with our warranty. @Marvin24 , you should still be able to bring it in on warranty. It's getting close so I wouldn't waste any time. Do you have a link or a copy of that info? Seems like it shouldn't affect the plugs but if it does... certainly something to keep an eye on...
