I’m I guessing they are going to be way behind schedule as VSE’s website still says that the expected release date is April 5th, and the purchase button is still ‘pre-order now’….
Don’t use any of the newer PF66 oil filters… they are complete junk now IMO and have been cheapened big time. No metal cap on both ends. The relief spring at the bottom was also upside down I believe when I cut it open (99% sure unless they had put them back together and in backwards by...
Yea, I’ve seen both. I’m liking the VSE one better personally, especially for us in cold climates. I don’t like the fine mesh personally (too much possible restriction and possible freeze up due to small mesh). The VSE’s is also all machined out of billet aluminum, hence the $349 price.
I don’t see how this is an issue on 1500’s like the 2500’s as the design of the tailgate at the top is completely different, no depression for the water to drain into.
Conditions and your right foot play a big role in the number… I don’t really tow much at all with mine but my overall average (summer & winter) not towing is right around 27.5MPG. Guys that have travel trailers around 5-6000 lbs says they set around 15MPG or so (some guys claim 19MPG, which may...
I figured out this has to do with the GMC diagnostic summary report that I am emailed every month and starts happening about 5 days before its report date deadline. I have figured out how to get around it, just push the steering wheel button to the right to go into the mileage summary (or tire...
Probably not what you want to hear, but based on all the problems you said you have had you may want to possibly think about trading it in and getting a new/another one. It should NOT have all/this many problems…. Especially with only 36,000 kms on it. I just passed 38,000 kms on mine and have...
I have some ‘concerns’ with long term durability (powertrain is new and has not been proven) but so far after 20,000 miles I’m very happy and have had ZERO issues (knock on wood!) with mine.
You’re not concerned about the filter hanging down so low (below the frame rail)?
Oil should be clean after 3-400 miles if it’s doing what they say it is. Amsoil‘s youtube video it clears up in like 1 minute.
The only guys that I know that make a kit specifically for the 3.0 is insane diesel. They have a tee that they put in place of the pressure sensor and then relocate the pressure sensor. Looks like a decent kit, but seems insanely expensive to me…...
