I was surprised after running it that long on gas it didn't need anything more than a drain and refill of the tank and a flush. At the very least I would have thought the DPF would have puked.
Definitely doesn't sound normal. Does the PRNDL show P when you put it in Park? Have you tried using the parking brake? I've exited and turned off the truck with the trailer attached lots of times, no issues, with and without parking brake.
Interesting. I'm surprised, in their infinite cheapness, they replaced the entire shaft instead of an individual u-joint unless the shaft itself was defective in some way.
They did the same thing to the Silverado. Probably just an option or just did it to show it off more.
You could do it yourself, there are generic wraps or appliques. Some are even imitation carbon fibre.
Just looks like an appliqué or wrap. How old is the video? Was it from the first year of the MP tailgate? Maybe they were just trying to make it stand out for the show.
I'm not too fussy about Krown. I find their stuff is so thin it washes off too easily. I go to an independent oil sprayer that uses thicker stuff and also charges less. I'll have to do both of mine before the snow flies.
With the updated ECU programming, the CNS has been fixed so that shouldn't be an issue. When it did work for me, it started fairly quickly but was still annoying. Also would roll through stop signs just so it wouldn't stop the engine.
Yep, best damned $100USD I've ever spent.
Ya, here it's $2.29/L. Wish there was a reserve close by where I could get cheaper fuel. Always try to seek those out when I'm travelling. If it weren't for the fact I'm still under warranty, I would used dyed fuel at $2.10/L. I have a station that sells it just 1 minute away.
Same here except I just let the free trial run out. Never even used it or the free data.
They're having such a bad time that now, if you buy a new GMC or Buick, you MUST take OnStar and the cost is built into the price...
Same here with two different phones, including a new one. It's more reliable using USB. Apparently Google has been doing updates that breaks AA. My phone connects fine to the truck itself using Bluetooth but AA doesn't see it. It worked almost great when I first got the truck but has been...
I just tried to use it again and I can't really get it to stop the engine more regularly. Even with A/C off, not in tow/haul, not in regen and a seemingly charged battery, I can't get it to stop the engine. It did for a while and then, nothing. I can't be bothered with it anymore.
My only problem with it is that it doesn't use an extended oil filter to reach the bottom of the pan. What's the point of the extra capacity if it can't use it?
My biggest beef is no dipstick. Apart from checking the level, you can also see the condition of the fluid.
Speaking of the filter...
If it happens again and again, I would take it in and get it fixed. If it repeats, it's more than a glitch, especially if it doesn't clear itself in enough time and goes into full limp mode. Just like the crank no start, it's annoying.
So far I haven't seen the need for it unless I start travelling in the US desert areas or doing crazy hill climbs in BC. Still good to know these products are available, especially the cooler.
I have found a slightly cheaper alternative to the PPE cooler bypass block. This kit works with our...
